I could use correlly type battery connections and buy a traxxas to correly lead for use in the Clod to the EVX-2 esc. Seems OK, relatively simple and keeps battery options wide open (those prewired with trx connectors are a bit pricey). I have a better picture of the set-up now as a result of their descriptions.

Like Dave said, 7.4v is the nominal voltage rating. At peak charge for a 2s, your battery should be 8.4v (4.2 per cell). Low voltage cutoff for most cells is around 3.2, or 7.4v total.

The 7.2 packs fit my Spider chassis perfectly, the 8.4v packs will fit but will need a bit of packing under the bottom one to lift it clear of the 7.2v sized tray. What's your thoughts ?? Nicad batterys have very close to 1.5V per cell across their terminals at room temperature. If you construct a constant current charger of the Capacity of the cells times 0.095 the charger can be left on all the time with out damage to the cells, this is at normal room temperature about 74 degrees F. In your case 1500Ma X .0.095 = 142.5Ma.
